During my time at sweetgreen, I have worked on a lot of different signage requests. However, with big print sizes comes great responsibility.
With every project we:
1. Tested materiality
2. Ran test prints to check resolution, color, and remove blemishes
3. Created installation guides

The cool thing about a sweetgreen store is that not every store is the same. Each store has its own layout and unique elements. The first of its kind was our 3.0 store in NYC, a completely digital experience. With that being said, this is one of the only printed elements in the store, so we wanted to ensure it was beautiful and gave our guests a great tangible experience.

Even before the US fully shut down its travel in March 2020, internally at sweetgreen we were fast tracking COVID signage to our stores as soon as possible. Ever since March our team has been sprinting on COVID signage and touch points from hand sanitizer bottles, mask mandate signage, tamper proof stickers, social distancing floor graphics, and many many more. Since mandates sometimes changed weekly, we had to think quickly and make sure we were up to protocol in all 11 of our markets.

This is definitely a section where you sweat the small details. When walking into a restaurant, there are so many different touch points which are typically handheld. These are intimate items placed throughout the restaurant to lead the customer journey.

When I'm not busy printing things, I'm busy at home. Most of my time is spent biking, traveling, learning embroidery, going to concerts, attending film Q&As and reading psychology books.
